Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work The Death Of King Josiah by Antonio Zanchi. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 34,375.00 (€ 30,447.30). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Zanchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Allegory of Time, which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 73,250.00 (€ 93,064.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Death Of King Josiah von Antonio Zanchi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 34.375,00 (€ 30.447,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonio Zanchi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Allegory of Time beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für GBP 73.250,00 (€ 93.064,95) versteigert wurde.
