Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Together by Antony Gormley was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 10,200.00 (€ 1,327.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antony Gormley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Case for an Angel I in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,296,250.00 (€ 6,038,761.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Together von Antony Gormley kam im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 10.200,00 (€ 1.327,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antony Gormley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Case for an Angel I im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.296.250,00 (€ 6.038.761,70).
