Auction result well in line with expectations
In February last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Online, which included the work Horizon by Arie Smit. The price achieved of HKD 35,280.00 (€ 4,020.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arie Smit achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Padi Fields in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,605,000.00 (€ 412,591.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Horizon von Arie Smit zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 35.280,00 (€ 4.020,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arie Smit erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Padi Fields im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.605.000,00 (€ 412.591,26).
