In June 2021 Artcurial in Paris held the auction African Contemporary Art, which included the work Before Hush, 2021 by Arim Andrew. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 18,200.00 52% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arim Andrew; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Back again - 2020 sold at auction in December 2020 with the realized price of MAD 325,000.00 (€ 28,434.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 52 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2021 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion African Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Before Hush, 2021 von Arim Andrew zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 18.200,00 und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Arim Andrew; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Back again - 2020 im Dezember 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von MAD 325.000,00 (€ 28.434,18).
