Auction result misses estimated price range

In the The Curtis StudioImportant Photographs and Ephemera from a Distinguished Private Collection auction, the work Chief Isaacs In Canoe Below Dawson; And Chief Isaacs In Front Of A Tent; (2) changed hands for USD 484.50 (€ 408.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Asahel Curtis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mount Rainier; in June 2021 with an auction result of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,443.62).
