Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2009 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern+Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by B. Prabha. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,088.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by B. Prabha have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 70,938.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern+Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von B. Prabha zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.088,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von B. Prabha auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 70.938,76).
