Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Femme à la natte by Baltasar Lobo was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in June 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,929.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Baltasar Lobo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pièce D'Eau in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 620,000.00 (€ 556,103.69).

Die Arbeit Femme à la natte von Baltasar Lobo wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.929,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Baltasar Lobo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pièce D'Eau im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 620.000,00 (€ 556.103,69).
