Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Femme assise, mains croisés by Baltasar Lobo was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Bonhams in London in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 35,000.00 – 55,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 44,093.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Baltasar Lobo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pièce D'Eau in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 620,000.00 (€ 556,103.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Femme assise, mains croisés von Baltasar Lobo wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 35.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 44.093,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Baltasar Lobo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pièce D'Eau im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 620.000,00 (€ 556.103,69).
