This artwork by Barbara Rae achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September 2021. In the Blazing a TrailModern British Women auction, the work without title sold for GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,417.40) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Barbara Rae - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Field Altandhu, which sold at auction in March 2005 for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 14,855.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Barbara Rae erzielte im September 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Blazing a TrailModern British Women wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.417,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Barbara Rae mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Field Altandhu beobachtet, die im März 2005 für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 14.855,24) versteigert wurde.
