Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Contemporary Edition, which included the work 1, 2, 3, 4 by Brice Marden. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,794.84). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brice Marden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 11 (to Léger) in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 16,999,000.00 (€ 15,060,689.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Contemporary Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit 1, 2, 3, 4 von Brice Marden zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.794,84) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brice Marden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 11 (to Léger) im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.999.000,00 (€ 15.060.689,29).
