Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art, which included the work Espejismo by Bridget Tichenor. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 14,180.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bridget Tichenor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October last year with an auction result of USD 151,200.00 (€ 152,204.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Espejismo von Bridget Tichenor zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 14.180,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bridget Tichenor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 152.204,55).
