Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Från Arild I" (From Arild I) by Bror Hjorth was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 900,000.00 – 1,000,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 880,000.00 (€ 101,633.07). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bror Hjorth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Blå Eva", which sold at auction in April 2016 for SEK 2,400,000.00 (€ 261,165.98).
