Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2009 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Jeff, NY, 1981 by Bruce Weber. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,052.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bruce Weber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ric and Natalie, Villa Tejas, Montecito, California in May 2017 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 100,497.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jeff, NY, 1981 von Bruce Weber zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.052,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bruce Weber erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ric and Natalie, Villa Tejas, Montecito, California im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 100.497,29).
