Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Racehorse by Bryan Westwood was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in November 2002. It changed hands for a price of AUD 2,820.00 (€ 1,590.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bryan Westwood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Five Jockeys In A Row (Silks From Cummings, Green And Begg Stables, Sydney) in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 48,000.00 (€ 29,514.31).
