Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work La profonde pensée or Intimité by Camille Claudel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 150,000.00 – 25,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 386,500.00 (€ 463,926.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Camille Claudel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Valse, Première Version in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,122,500.00 (€ 5,978,874.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La profonde pensée or Intimité von Camille Claudel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 150.000,00 – 25.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 386.500,00 (€ 463.926,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Camille Claudel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Valse, Première Version im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.122.500,00 (€ 5.978.874,90).
