Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Carol Bove was auctioned at Phillips in London in February 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 128,500.00 (€ 164,656.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Carol Bove have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2018 the work Young Lovers was auctioned for USD 308,000.00 (€ 265,014.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Carol Bove kam im Februar 2016 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 128.500,00 (€ 164.656,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Carol Bove konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2018 die Arbeit Young Lovers für USD 308.000,00 (€ 265.014,63) versteigert.
