Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Shrine to Eris by Carol Bove was auctioned at Christies in New York in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 81,900.00 (€ 73,830.34). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carol Bove - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Young Lovers, which sold at auction in September 2018 for USD 308,000.00 (€ 265,014.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Shrine to Eris von Carol Bove kam im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 81.900,00 (€ 73.830,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Carol Bove mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Young Lovers beobachtet, die im September 2018 für USD 308.000,00 (€ 265.014,63) versteigert wurde.
