In July 2005 Christies in Paris held the auction COLLECTION PATRICE TRIGANO, ITINERAIRE D'UNE PASSION, which included the work Compression by César. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 16,800.00 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by César achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Compression "Zim"Compressed Car in December 2015 with an auction result of EUR 627,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2005 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion COLLECTION PATRICE TRIGANO, ITINERAIRE D'UNE PASSION durch, in der auch die Arbeit Compression von César zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 16.800,00 und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von César erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Compression "Zim"Compressed Car im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 627.000,00.
