It achieved a price of USD 86,500.00 (€ 66,487.32), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Amable Lenoir - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French young Girl With Cherries, which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 150,000.00 (€ 133,499.47).

Die Arbeit French day Dreams von Charles Amable Lenoir kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 66.487,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Amable Lenoir mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French young Girl With Cherries beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 150.000,00 (€ 133.499,47) versteigert wurde.
