Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pichet de fleurs et assiette de fruits by Charles Camoin was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,973.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Camoin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Port De Cassis, 1904-1905 in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 266,966.00.

Die Arbeit Pichet de fleurs et assiette de fruits von Charles Camoin wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.973,15) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Camoin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Port De Cassis, 1904-1905 im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 266.966,00.
