Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2013 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Deposition by Charles de Sousy Ricketts. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,269.56). Admittedly, works by Charles de Sousy Ricketts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chimeras (Chacun Porte Sa Chimère) in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,073.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deposition von Charles de Sousy Ricketts zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.269,56) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles de Sousy Ricketts auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chimeras (Chacun Porte Sa Chimère) im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.073,79).
