Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles de Sousy Ricketts could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Living with Art auction, the work The Horses of Achilles changed hands for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,736.73) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles de Sousy Ricketts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chimeras (Chacun Porte Sa Chimère) in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,073.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles de Sousy Ricketts konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Living with Art wechselte die Arbeit The Horses of Achilles für USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.736,73) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00.
