Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cherry Blossoms and Ducks by Chen Wen Hsi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2021. The price achieved of HKD 163,800.00 (€ 18,553.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 280,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Wen Hsi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pasar (Market) in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,256,407.24).
