The work Plastic Raincoat by Chen Wenji was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2016. It achieved a price of HKD 1,357,000.00 (€ 152,886.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chen Wenji; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Brimful sold at auction in June 2015 with the realized price of CNY 1,180,000.00 (€ 170,641.92).

Die Arbeit Plastic Raincoat von Chen Wenji kam im April 2016 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.357.000,00 (€ 152.886,37) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chen Wenji; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Brimful im Juni 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von CNY 1.180.000,00 (€ 170.641,92).
