This artwork by Chen Yinhui achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. In the Chinese 20th CenturyArt auction, the work The God of Gate sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 16,390.93) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chen Yinhui; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot RHYTHM sold at auction in May 2017 with the realized price of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,837.31).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Yinhui erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese 20th CenturyArt wurde die Arbeit The God of Gate für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 16.390,93) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chen Yinhui; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit RHYTHM im Mai 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.837,31).
