Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Paris by Chia Yu Chian. It changed hands for a price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,221.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 160,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chia Yu Chian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work By The River in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 83,968.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paris von Chia Yu Chian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.221,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 160.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chia Yu Chian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit By The River im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 83.968,47).
