Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Andy'S Monroe by Chintan Upadhyay was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,200.00 (€ 5,931.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chintan Upadhyay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Together For Life Whether We Like It Or Not in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 111,890.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Andy'S Monroe von Chintan Upadhyay kam im März 2006 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.200,00 (€ 5.931,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chintan Upadhyay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Together For Life Whether We Like It Or Not im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.100.000,00 (€ 111.890,87).
