Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Take Me Home by Chintan Upadhyay was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2008. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 43,750.00 (€ 31,070.24). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chintan Upadhyay - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Together For Life Whether We Like It Or Not, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 1,100,000.00 (€ 111,890.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Take Me Home von Chintan Upadhyay kam im September 2008 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 43.750,00 (€ 31.070,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Chintan Upadhyay mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Together For Life Whether We Like It Or Not beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 1.100.000,00 (€ 111.890,87) versteigert wurde.
