Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work La Septième Symphonie – Costume Design For The Bird by Christian Bérard. The price achieved of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,694.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Bérard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Suite de quatre toiles montées en paravent pour "La Jeune Fille endormie" in April this year with an auction result of EUR 119,700.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Septième Symphonie – Costume Design For The Bird von Christian Bérard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.694,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Bérard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Suite de quatre toiles montées en paravent pour "La Jeune Fille endormie" im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 119.700,00.
