The work The Flapper by Christian Rohlfs was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in November last year. It achieved a price of USD 6,500.00 (€ 6,296.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Rohlfs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Haus in Soest“. in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 512,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Flapper von Christian Rohlfs wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.500,00 (€ 6.296,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Rohlfs erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Haus in Soest“. im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 512.400,00.
