Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Layers Of Transcendence by Christine Ay Tjoe was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 2,394,000.00 (€ 256,315.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Christine Ay Tjoe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Layer As A Hiding Place in May last year with an auction result of HKD 13,050,000.00 (€ 1,549,315.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Layers Of Transcendence von Christine Ay Tjoe kam im April 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 2.394.000,00 (€ 256.315,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christine Ay Tjoe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Layer As A Hiding Place im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.050.000,00 (€ 1.549.315,07).
