Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Amberley by Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Christies in London in March 2015. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,184.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Dawn, 1914 in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 1,869,000.00 (€ 2,121,593.04).
