Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mother And Child by Chuah Thean Teng was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 9,160.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chuah Thean Teng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gotong Royong in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,563.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mother And Child von Chuah Thean Teng kam im November 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 9.160,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chuah Thean Teng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gotong Royong im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.563,99).
