In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online, which included this untitled work by Cindy Sherman. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,130.59), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cindy Sherman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #93 in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,861,000.00 (€ 2,830,645.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Cindy Sherman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.130,59) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cindy Sherman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #93 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.861.000,00 (€ 2.830.645,16).
