Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Nu Assis by Constant Permeke was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 17,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constant Permeke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Torse in October 2018 with an auction result of EUR 393,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Nu Assis von Constant Permeke im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 17.500,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Constant Permeke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Torse im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 393.000,00.
