Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Rorschachtest #3 by Cosima von Bonin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,630.15). Admittedly, works by Cosima von Bonin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work GEORGE in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 62,534.11).
