Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stalking Leopard by Cuthbert Edmund Swan was sold in the Wildlife auction at Christies in London in May 2000. The price achieved of GBP 822.50 (€ 1,319.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cuthbert Edmund Swan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tiger Hunt in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,258.56).
