Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Dana Schutz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2021. In the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Tapestry sold for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,528.25) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dana Schutz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elevator in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 50,050,000.00 (€ 5,279,190.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dana Schutz erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Tapestry für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.528,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dana Schutz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elevator im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 50.050.000,00 (€ 5.279.190,52).
