Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dancer by David Bomberg was sold in the 20th Century British Art Including Good Friday, Daisy Nook and Five Important Paintings by L.S. Lowry auction at Christies in London in June 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,026.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Bomberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Church Of The Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,224,900.00 (€ 1,744,688.09).
