Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Vessels Off The Shore In A Stiff Breeze by David Fulton. It changed hands for a price of GBP 940.00 (€ 1,533.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Fulton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishing for tiddlers in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,879.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vessels Off The Shore In A Stiff Breeze von David Fulton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 940,00 (€ 1.533,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Fulton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fishing for tiddlers im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.780,00 (€ 6.879,73).
