Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Four Flowers in a Vase by David Hockney was auctioned at Christies in London in October this year. It achieved a price of USD 13,860.00 (€ 13,115.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Four Flowers in a Vase von David Hockney kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 13.115,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Hockney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nichols Canyon im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.067.500,00 (€ 33.579.313,16).
