Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work “John Hockney”, 1980 by David Hockney for DKK 12,000.00 (€ 1,609.46). This price was achieved in the auction Modern art and design at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit “John Hockney”, 1980 von David Hockney für DKK 12.000,00 (€ 1.609,46) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Hockney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nichols Canyon im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.067.500,00 (€ 33.579.313,16).
