Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life with Book by David Hockney was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in London in October this year. The price achieved of USD 44,100.00 (€ 41,729.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life with Book von David Hockney wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 41.729,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Hockney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nichols Canyon im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.067.500,00 (€ 33.579.313,16).
