Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The milkmaid by David Woodlock was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in London in November 2000. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,292.50 (€ 2,112.54). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Woodlock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Landscape Painter, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,170.33).

Die Arbeit The milkmaid von David Woodlock wurde im November 2000 in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.292,50 (€ 2.112,54) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von David Woodlock mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Landscape Painter beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.170,33) versteigert wurde.
