This artwork by Dennis Oppenheim achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2016. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Study For Digestion: Gypsum Gypsies) sold for EUR 18,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dennis Oppenheim have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heavy Dog Kiss in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 108,812.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dennis Oppenheim erzielte im April 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Study For Digestion: Gypsum Gypsies) für EUR 18.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dennis Oppenheim auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heavy Dog Kiss im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 108.812,79).
