Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sorrowful Visions by Dia Al-Azzawi was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 97,750.00 (€ 114,767.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 22%. Other works by Dia Al-Azzawi have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 235,500.00 (€ 214,833.06) in October 2016 for the work Arsak Mowt (Your Wedding is Death).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sorrowful Visions von Dia Al-Azzawi wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 97.750,00 (€ 114.767,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 22%. Andere Arbeiten von Dia Al-Azzawi haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 235.500,00 (€ 214.833,06) im Oktober 2016 für die Arbeit Arsak Mowt (Your Wedding is Death) beobachtet.
