It achieved a price of GBP 161,000.00 (€ 188,676.11), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 61%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Diego Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La console 'Hommage à Böcklin' in October this year with an auction result of GBP 5,122,000.00 (€ 5,881,478.99).

Die Arbeit Table-feuille aux oiseaux et grenouilles von Diego Giacometti kam im März 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 161.000,00 (€ 188.676,11) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 61%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Diego Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La console 'Hommage à Böcklin' im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.122.000,00 (€ 5.881.478,99).
