The work Pink Camellia by Dong Shaw-Hwei was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,033.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Shaw-Hwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pink Camellia In The Morning (Painted In 2014) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 540,000.00 (€ 551,445.65).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen

Die Arbeit Pink Camellia von Dong Shaw-Hwei kam im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.033,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Shaw-Hwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pink Camellia In The Morning (Painted In 2014) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 540.000,00 (€ 551.445,65).
