In November 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Los Volcanes by Dr. Atl. The result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 73,496.99) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dr. Atl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mañana Luminosa in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,268,639.51).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Los Volcanes von Dr. Atl zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 73.496,99) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dr. Atl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mañana Luminosa im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.650.500,00 (€ 1.268.639,51).
