A top price for Duchoiselle - as previously expected
The work French la Pêche, La Chasse by Duchoiselle was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 87,500.00 (€ 67,369.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, French la Pêche, La Chasse is the most expensive artwork by Duchoiselle that we have observed at auctions so far.
